# RenewCMS — Self-hosted headless CMS

RenewCMS is a self-hosted headless CMS combining a Go REST API and an embedded Vue 3 workspace in one executable. It supports article publishing, custom structured content, images and team permissions.

Use your own frontend with the API. The public website must be built and hosted separately; RenewCMS does not generate or deploy it.

Run a release binary or Docker image. SQLite and local image storage are the defaults; PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB and S3-compatible storage are available.

RenewCMS is beta software under active development. Review the documentation and release notes before adopting or upgrading it.
